Parents are a child's first and most important teacher. Your involvement both at home and at school is critical to your child's success. At home, parents are encouraged to read with their child, to visit the library, to listen, to give responsibilities, to provide opportunities for exploration and creativity and to help the child develop good self-esteem.
At Minnetonka, parents volunteer their time and help in a number of ways depending on their classroom and the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) in their school. Parents are encouraged to support their local school by attending PTO meetings and becoming active in this organization.
