2012 Legislative Session Underway
With redistricting complete and an election year ahead, this Legislative Session promises to be interesting and will likely move quickly. Bills to address teacher licensure, teacher tenure, and school referendum language are already moving through the Legislature. Track bills of interest using the Legislative Bill Tracker.
Minnetonka School Board's Legislative Platform calls for maintaining the current basic aid formula and increasing it in future years, before paying back the basic aid shift. The platform also calls for increasing local control and flexibility.

About CASE....
Minnetonka community members formed CASE to advocate the Minnesota Legislature for full school funding. The group’s goal is to monitor possible changes in the law and encourage legislators to reinvest in public education at the state level.
CASE consists mostly of parents, but also works with community members and business leaders. There are many facets to this endeavor including membership, communication, research, event planning and lobbying. The commitment is varied and there is a place for anyone with a passion to make a difference in the lives of our students and our school district.
CASE is a non partisan organization. CASE will not endorse candidates for an elected office, including non partisan elected positions. As individual citizens, members of CASE are not prohibited from participating in various election efforts, but their opinions and actions do not represent CASE in doing so.
